My Big Gay Softball/Wedding Weekend...

...was published!

I did two shoots for Xtra West this issue. The Lesbian Softball Tournament at Trout Lake and "My Big Gay Wedding" dinner and show. Both were lots of fun to shoot esp. MBGW.

Shooting Spree

I've been shooting a lot lately, which is great and keeps me so so busy.
I have some photos in the newest issue of Xtra West, and one is a throw on the cover.
It's on newstands for another week, check it out in person, or electronically below.

Hannah Vancouver..

Oh Hannah Georgas. What can I say about my talented friend...
I think Grant Lawrence said something like a Hot Greek Ball of Fun.

Hannah played at the Bilmore the night after the Ronatron showcase, so after I stopped by the Michele Quan opening for her new show, I ran up Main Street for my second night in a row at the venue.

Hannah was playing an acoustic set, which is just as great as the full band.

I put up the photos here: www.mcavoy.ca/hannah@thebiltmore

Music-a-tron

Ronatron Showcase on May 27th...at the Biltmore. Friends Laura Smith and Adaline were playing so I went on by.
Both the ladies were excellent as always. And Colin Moore was on hand doing a live painting that I almost won in the silent auction but lost to high roller Ronatron himself.

Check out all the photos here:

You Are Here...and Here

Currently, my "You Are Here" is the steps in front of my house. It's my only access to outside (I'd kill for a patio/balcony) and it's BEAUTIFUL in Vancouver right now. If only my neighbourhood had more patios...esp. with internet. I'd be a happy camper.

I was just emailed the pages from the last two Vancouver Magazine issues with my photos in them. They are both from the You Are Here section which highlights interesting areas of the lower mainland... real estate and lifestyle wise.
The first is of UniverCity, which is a new housing area located up at SFU. It was interesting getting out there, and it was so long ago that there was still snow on the ground; while I write this now, I'm in a skirt and t-shirt.

The second is of Coal Harbour, which has been built up a lot over the last few years. I enjoyed shooting it becuase you know... mountains... oceans... trees... boats. If only I was a millionaire.

I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot the same section for the next issue too. Three in a row... I'm on a roll.
