Bend Sinister and Minus The Bear
Originally after a day at the beach the plan WAS to go to Guilt and Company as both my friends Colin Cowan (of Analog Bell Service) and Dan Moxon (Bend Sinister) were going to be jamming. However, after running into Dan AT Guilt and Co earlier in the week, I learned that he had to cancel because Bend would be opening for Minus The Bear!
Luckily I had received an email inviting me to attend and photograph the show that very day.
So with some of my CBC Radio 3 bloggers in tow, we moseyed downtown to VENUE and saw some rock and roll:

Malene Grotrian did it again!
This wonderful evening of beautiful clothes was put on by Luvngrace Entertainment at Studio 538 in downtown Vancouver. In addition to the fashion show, there was a Studio 54 themed party, which included walls lined with the pop art of Jim Cummings!

Cocktails for a Cause
My great friends Olivia and Niki of the fashion blogs Style Struck and A Haute Mess hosted at party at Guess by Marciano on the 24th in support of the non-profit 'Dress For Success'. It was quite the event full of fashionable Vancouverites, friends and rabid shoppers!
Check out the girls blogs HERE and HERE for more photos. (See if you can spot me on one too!)

What's an endive? Well there are endives in all of these photos:
Here is some more info on the endive that I wrote on Vancouver Is Awesome.

Taste It Tour
My wonderful friend Cyndi Hunter is starting her own business called Taste It Tour. Basically its a food tour around a section of Vancouver. I was one of the lucky ones asked to go on the trial run, and of course Me + Food = taking pictures of everything before its eaten.
Here are a few examples of some of the food we tasted. And once the business is fully operational, I will INDEED be posting about it again!

NO MORE CARS!
It's been over a week since I've last posted. I apologize. In between events scheduled for almost every day last week, I also did two different shoots for two magazines:
The Ion Magazine Hip Guide (which is out now, and I'll get PDFs soon) and Vancouver Magazine's Guestlife.
Both required extensive walking around the city, and lucky for me, whenever I went out, the sun came with me.
Another time the weather co-operated was for Car Free Day in Vancouver...I headed over to Main Street to wander and see what was going on.
I saw music, chickens, booths, friends and everyone and their dog. Literally, there were dogs EVERYWHERE.
